Welcome to "Shoes for Afghan kids", our efforts started Aug 2009 and we have so far distributed over 350 pair of shoes from private donations to the impoverished children of Afghanistan.  I am overwhelmed with the response from friends and family in volunteering to help.  I've decided to start a shoe campaign and with the help of a friend launch this website to help pass the word.

Why help?

Because it's the right thing to do.  This all started when I asked a friend what could we do to help, and she told me the local chapel collects and donates shoes, baby blankets, notebooks and pencils to Afghanistan's most destitute hospitals, burn units, orphanages, refugee camps and schools. 

If you would like to help the children of Afghanistan please send us no longer needed children shoes of all sizes, baby blankets (small/medium), notebooks and pencils.
